P.A.C.T For Fungal Nail
PACT at Sportspinal HealthP.A.C.T Fungal Nail Laser Treatment Hawthorn
Treat stubborn fungal nail and skin infections
Thick, discoloured or brittle toenails can be difficult to treat and may worsen over time. At Sportspinal Health, our podiatrists use PACT photoactivated therapy to target fungal and bacterial infections safely and effectively — without oral medication.
PACT is a non-invasive option for fungal nails, athlete’s foot and recurring fungal skin infections.
Why choose PACT?
PACT treatment targets infection locally, without damaging healthy surrounding tissue.
Benefits include:
- No oral antifungal medication required
- No needles
- Quick treatment sessions
- Minimal downtime
- Suitable for stubborn or recurring infections
- Delivered by experienced podiatrists
How does PACT work?
The area is cleaned and prepared before a photosensitising gel is applied to the affected nail or skin. This is then activated using low-level light to help destroy fungal and bacterial cells at the source.
How many treatments will I need?
Most fungal nail infections require a course of treatments. Skin infections may improve within weeks, while fungal nails improve gradually as healthy nail grows out, which can take 3–12 months depending on severity.
Your podiatrist will assess your condition and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.
Is PACT right for you?
PACT may be suitable if you have thick, discoloured or brittle toenails, recurring fungal infections, or want to avoid oral antifungal medication.
